When did you know you were gay? I mean, like, when did you thought "oh look, i like guys"? (hoping it's not an offensive question because i didn't mean it like that)

I first suspected I was gay when I was five and really liked my best friend. I really suspected I was gay when I was seven and blew kisses at a neighborhood boy who gave me funny feelings in my stomach. Feelings like that continued until I was about 10 and puberty started.

That’s when I understood why I had conflicting feelings about things. Why boys made me nervous, why I wanted to spend time with them but be closer than friends, why I sometimes smiled to myself when I saw certain ones.


There are numerous instances of me knowing I was gay, because I’ve known it all my life. Sometimes it’s hard to answer this question because I have different moments to choose from. But yeah, I think 10 is when I went from being “I don’t understand why I feel this way, I think I’m gay” to “Oh yeah, I’m gay.”
